The discovery of America – A small music anthology from and for the “new world”

Sunday 23 Of June 2024 - 11:00, Accademia Neoumanistica

Musicological conference curated by Silvia Paparelli

A journey through American music, amid skyscrapers and pastures, realism and the vanguard. A sound landscape arising from a “polyglot culture, different from any other in that it is non-indigenous” (Mellers) and populated by highly diverse American and European composers, the latter often in search of a “new world”.
