Ensemble Roma Sinfonietta

The Ensemble Roma Sinfonietta was founded within the Orchestra Roma Sinfonietta, established in 1993; they began a collaboration with the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” where they currently peform concerts. They have worked with artists such as Nicola Piovani, Luis Bacalov, Quincey Jones, Roger Waters, Dulce Pontes, Mariella Devia, Claudio Baglioni, Michael Bolton, Michael Nyman, Andrea Bocelli and Gianni Ferrio.
For the past 14 years or so, the ensemble have worked regularly with Ennio Morricone, with whom they have performed concerts in some of the world’s most prestigious venues and concert halls (Auditorium Lingotto in Turin, the Greek Theatre in Taormina, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Nuovo Piccolo Teatro in Milan, the Arena in Verona, Piazza del Quirinale, Piazza del Campidoglio, Auditorium Parco della Musica and Auditorium Conciliazione in Rome, Barbican Centre and Royal Albert Hall in London, the Palais des Congrès in Paris, Tokyo International Forum, Osaka Festival Hall, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens, United Nations Headquarters and Radio City Hall in New York, Olympic Gymnasium in Seoul, and the Kremlin in Moscow). The Orchestra also record Ennio Morricone’s music, including his film and television soundtracks, with a full discography for EMI, Sony and Universal.
