DUO DISSONANCE
It was created from the common desire to “obtain” a different identity from the reed instrument that is better known for its tradition of folk repertoire: the accordion.
In this context, the group offers different interpretations and adaptations of music for general keyboard instruments and more specific ones (organ, harpsichord) along with a work of training and knowledge for the composers, encouraging them to produce original productions for the group.
Comprising of Roberto Caberlotto and Gilberto Meneghin, both graduating with highest honours in classical accordion at the “L. Cherubini Conservatory” in Florence, the duo has been active since 2005, and has performed in prestigious venues and concert seasons in Italy and abroad.
The duo has collaborated and premiered the works of famous Italian composers such as Ennio Morricone, Paul Ugoletti, Francesco Schweizer, Fabrizio De Rossi Re, Andrea Talmelli, Mario Pagotto, Titian Bedetti, Gianmartino Durighello, Massimo Priori, Lorenzo Fattambrini, Riccardo Riccardi, Daniele Venturi, Rolando Lucchi and others. They have collaborated with other musical groups (the Italian String Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, and the Trento Zandonai Ensemble). Their music productions have been broadcast by Rai Radio 3 and Radio Belgrade.
